The Peace that
humans long for
must come from within

For it is with Inner Peace
that True Hope
can begin

If you look for Peace
outside yourselves
your quest may never end

Every fluctuating circumstance
sways and moves
like the wind

If you look for Peace in others
you may find yourselves
quick to offend

One day there’s an enemy and
the next day
a friend

If you look for Peace
in politics
your systems crumble
as they begin

So look for Peace that’s True
a Peace which
doesn’t condemn

If you look for Peace
in God
you have a Peace on which
you can always depend

In God’s Kingdom
there’s a Way and a Life
that never truly ends

The Peace from God
is Faithful
like the Truest Friend

The Peace from God
is a Gift that
only Heaven can send

God’s Presence

There are times when we
do not feel
God's Presence in life

The Presence of God
is always there
But it's as though we go
through life unaware

On days when we do not feel
peace, love, or joy
We can rest assured
God has not withdrawn

His tenderness or care
There are signs all around
that God is always there

Outside of the window
there are birds and trees

The sunshine beaming
or a misty breeze

God is still in each of these

The stranger’s face
A compassionate smile
The simple happiness
of a little child

There it lies
in the love of all men
God’s Presence and peace
woven within

In the heartbeat
of our Earthly lives
or to the very end so

We can all one day say

God has never left me
or He has always been
My Friend

Who Is God?

God is the love flowing in my heart
God is the gentle wisdom
written from the start

God begins and ends
with the shining of the Son
In God we find
we are chosen ones

To come to earth to heal and love
God is all good things
coming from above

God whispers and sings
in the birds and trees
God listens to the still and
quiet voice in me

God is the One
who knows my every need
In God we find that
we are free

Holy

Holy Holy
the angels sing
when seated in Heaven
they worship The King

Holy Holy
the angels proclaim
when seeing The All
the Infinite of Days

Holy Holy
the angels sigh
when looking at God
through their many eyes

Holy Holy
to the Lord
they worship the Christ
who the angels adore

Hope

Hope is the eternal
The unseen thing
It exists beyond the rocks
Or in the trees that sing

Hope is the Goodness and Light
Beyond the here and now
When our circumstances fluctuate
Or rumors of war abound

Hope is the Gift of the Spirit
Where every need can be found

Hope is in Christ
Who came to save us when we fall
So we can know our God
The Creator of us all

Hope is not a place
In the Heavens or on the Earth
Hope is in a Person
Who guides us gently
with His Word

Dance

Dance like the day has past
or mornings loom into evening’s last breath
where we no longer walk fettered
by Earth’s glories or can behold the wonder of
light bristling within the leaves
The calm of the sea slumbers as waves kiss the midnight air
Dance as free as these
Dance like the journey has no end
or you are the star born again
to be guided into the highest heights of eternal treasures
or travel into unknown lands of ecstasy
We were once miserable men until we found
we are just children of tears weeping at the nature of it all
hobbling on our legs when we can elegantly stand tall so
Dance like you could always live the fullest life you could ever live or
Dance like angels take us in their arms to show us that home
was always within

Angel of Beauty

God sent me an angel of beauty
to remind me of my own beauty

She stood behind me
in robes of white

Tall and lean
elegantly physiqued

Whispering to my soul
in feminine tones

"You are beauty!"
"You are beauty!"​

Then, I wished
I looked like her

Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael
has hair as molasses
growing like grasses or
rainbows on oil slicks or
soap bubbles floating to the moon

He hugs me like an ancient friend
I'm more loved by Michael than by any
human on Earth

Let's go together and
abandon ship
It wasn't worth it
I'm such a fool

David

David danced before the Lord
Half-naked, they say
In shameless ways, they say
In pure abandon
He danced with all his might

Greed

Greed be cast into the sea
Love of things is not love of Me
Release these burdens! I have set you free!
That your Joy in Me may be complete

Forsaken

My Son, My Son
Why have they
Forsaken thee?

Love

Prophecies will cease
Tongues will be stilled
Knowledge will pass away but
Love never fails
